The story of our name begins with Pontus Euxinus, the ancient Greek name for the Black Sea. But its history holds a profound lesson. Before it was the "Euxinus", these waters were known as Pontus Axeinos—the "Inhospitable Sea," a domain of risk and the unknown. Through courage, innovation, and alliance, the Greeks transformed challenge into opportunity, renaming it Pontus Euxinus—the "Hospitable Sea."
It is therefore with great intention that our name, EUXINEX, begins with EUXIN.
EUXIN also begins with EU.
This intentional echo of the European Union at the heart of our identity is a declaration of our core mission: to serve as a bastion of European and Trans-Atlantic cooperation on the continent's strategic eastern flank. Just as the ancient Greeks created a 'hospitable sea' through knowledge and trade, the European project champions security through shared values and collective strength.
